This Standard Price List is displayed prominently at our premises and published here in the standardised format required by the CMA Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021.
Scottish Muslim Funeral Services provides burial only. In accordance with Islamic teaching, we do not offer cremation services on religious grounds.
An unaccompanied burial โ also known as an unattended or direct burial โ is a simple, respectful burial carried out without a formal service or mourners in attendance at the graveside. This is the headline standardised price required by the CMA.
This price includes the funeral director's essential professional services, collection and care of the deceased, ghusal (washing) and kafan (shrouding), a suitable coffin, and transport to the place of burial. Third-party costs (see below) are additional.
An attended funeral includes a Janazah (funeral prayer) and burial with family and mourners present. The table below itemises the funeral director's charges. All figures are to be confirmed by Scottish Muslim Funeral Services.

Some costs are paid to third parties on your behalf. These are charged at cost and are in addition to the funeral director's charges above. They typically include:

Third-party costs vary depending on the cemetery, local authority and individual circumstances. We will confirm the exact amounts in your written estimate before any arrangements proceed.
Additional options โ such as out-of-hours collection, additional mileage, worldwide repatriation, a limousine, or other services beyond the standard funeral โ are set out in our Additional Options Price List, which is available on request and displayed at our premises.
In accordance with Islamic teaching, Scottish Muslim Funeral Services provides burial only. Cremation is not offered on religious grounds. Any reference to a "standardised price" in the CMA format therefore relates to burial.
